Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a different topic that one of their bloggers answers, and they invite others to join in, by posting their answers as a comment or by creating their own blog post.

Top Ten Tuesday is back this week, and this week’s topic is 10 recommendations for … Its an open topic, so I thought I’d do 10 recommendations for readers who love strong female characters.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’ve been back in rainy, occasionally sunny Wales for a week, and done a placement at a publishers, which was more than a dream come true. So although I finished two books this week, I also read two manuscripts, of which I can say nothing because it’s top secret. Getting to read manuscripts has got to be one of my favourite things I’ve done so far this summer. I know, I’m a bookworm. Continue reading “WWW Wednesdays- 9th August 2017”

It’s the final week before Top Ten Tuesday starts back again, so I thought I’d look at an earlier topic: Top Ten Books You Loved But Never Wrote A Review For. It seemed like a fitting topic as I’ve been debating whether to review the last book I read. It’s made me wonder what other great reads have fallen through the blogging cracks!

MISC: Down The TBR Hole #6

I think it’s about time I give my TBR a long, hard look again. The last time I did a Down The TBR Hole post I didn’t actually get rid of any books, which is fine, but I’m in the mood for a good clean out, so hopefully I can make it just a teeny bit shorter this week!

Lia at Lost In A Story started this weekly post to trim down the Goodreads to-read list.

The rules are simple:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Top Ten Tuesday is taking a break for a couple of weeks. I only started taking part in TTT a few months ago, so I thought in the meantime I’d look through some of the old topics. Luckily there are literally hundreds to choose from, so I have enough to keep me busy until it starts back up in August! This week I’m revisiting 10 Books I Picked Up on a Whim, so I’m going to share 10 books I impulsively bought that are on my TBR!

I really don’t like to put books down if I can help it, but sometimes there are things about a story the make you want to stop. Annoying narrators, frustrating characters, plot holes can all put a reader off , but sometimes it’s as simple as a book just not being your cup of tea. Here are the ten books I considered putting down but didn’t.
