DOWN THE TBR HOLE #12

EtheringtonHeaders-Down the TBRIt’s been nearly a month since my last Goodreads clear. So I probably should dust off the shelves and see which books need to go! And which ones need to be bumped up the list!

Lia at Lost In A Story started this weekly post to trim down the Goodreads to-read list.

The rules are simple:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if youre feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Down The TBR Hole #11

I moved all my books home this week from my sister’s house, because I’m moving again on the weekend to start my internship. There are a lot of books I still haven’t read in those boxes and it made me realise how many books there are I still want to read! So having a look at the books I still haven’t bought and want to read seemed like a good idea this week!

I’ve actually done a pretty good job of not buying more books this month, and I don’t think I’ve added many to by Goodreads list, so it feels like the perfect time to get rid of a few books from my list. I’m starting my internship in a few weeks too, so I don’t think I’ll have much time to read, which means sticking to the books I really want to get through!

I have a very strong sense of dejavu this week. I could’ve sworn that I’d already talked about some of these books, but my blog tells me I am mistaken. How weird. Clearly I’ve been thinking about this post so much that I thought I’d already written it. Or these books have been on my TBR so long they’ve become that familiar. It happens to the best of us. Anyway, let’s have a look at whats staying and going this week!

I’m going to level with you before I venture down into the depths of my TBR, I’m not 100% sure that I’m going to get rid of any this time around. I have a mountainous pile of physical books to read, because I am a weak-willed bookworm, and I might have added a few more wishlist items to by Goodreads TBR, but I don’t know if I can get rid of any this week. And that’s okay. Some weeks there will be a lot of books I’m still interested in, but it’s nice to revisit them and reflect on why I want to read them (even though I haven’t and they’re crying out to be read).

MISC: Down The TBR Hole #7

After buying a ridiculous amount of books over the last few months I have quite a bad book hangover, or rather my purse does. It’s definitely taken a hit recently. So with more physical books to read, it seems only fair that I review the books still waiting to be bought.

I think it’s about time I give my TBR a long, hard look again. The last time I did a Down The TBR Hole post I didn’t actually get rid of any books, which is fine, but I’m in the mood for a good clean out, so hopefully I can make it just a teeny bit shorter this week!
