The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
It’s been a while again. Christmas didn’t turn out to be the productive reading fest I thought it would be but never mind, a new year awaits!
What are you currently reading?
I’m a third of the way through Holding by Graham Norton. A small Irish village is unsettled after human remains are found on a building site. It quite dark subject matter, but Norton’s humour lightens the tone. There’s a comedic police officer, an old love triangle, village gossip and a mystery; everything you could possibly wish for in a cosy crime novel.
What did you recently finish reading?
I read Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte over Christmas. I did enjoy reading it but I could quite see the romance in it. You never know how much of Nelly’s own bias has influenced the story. I imagine it would be a completely different novel if Heathcliffe was the narrator!
What do you think you’ll read next?
Potentially The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness. I haven’t read any YA in a while so it might be a nice change. Although, knowing me I’ll probably pick up a completely different book now I’ve said that!
