WWW Wednesday- 13th December 2017

EtheringtonHeaders- WWW WednesdayWWW is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Each Wednesday book enthusiasts share their reads by answering three questions:

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

It’s been a few weeks since I took part in WWW Wednesday but I’m ready to join in again after a few busy, busy weeks!

I’m halfway through A Gathering of Shadows by V E Schwab, and I’m really enjoying it. I can only hope that Kell and Lila reunite soon because they make a great team, and Alucard Emery is a charming character. I wonder what his history with Rhy is. I’m slightly worried I’ll have to go out and buy A Conjuring of Light though when I finish because I don’t think I can leave it too long to find out what happens!

DSC_0955I also started reading Heap House by Edward Carey. I forgot to bring A Gathering of Shadows with my to work on Friday, and I did a lot of travelling for work. Luckily the office is full of books, so I picked Heap House off the shelf and away I went. I’m 100 pages in and I’m enjoyed the bleak, eccentric world and story line. I don’t usually read two books at once though, so I’ll probably finish it after I’ve read A Gathering of Shadows.

I think the last book was Wild Abandon by Joe Dunthorne. I’ve read a lot of manuscripts in the last few weeks, so my personal reading has been a bit haphazard. I did enjoy this book though. It has the quirkiness of Submarine but it’s a different story entirely.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Wuthering Heights I hope! I keep saying this every time and then something else crops up, but I read Jane Eyre last year and I want to start a tradition of reading a Bronte every Christmas time until I’ve read them all!

What are you reading this week?
