The festive season is in full swing. There’s a literal blizzard (almost) outside my window and I’ve already consumed a generous supply of minced pies, chocolates and most drinks that are spiced or mulled. Needless to say my November wrap-up is not the most timely. I know. I’m rubbish. Ironically this is my first post in December, but I’m spending the rest of the afternoon writing and scheduling so that my December wrap-up won’t be the winter equivalent of tumbleweed in the desert (…a snowball in the Arctic?). Anyway here it is!

- The Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz
Reading Summary
I think I’ve read about five manuscripts in November which took up a lot of time on my commute, which is now when I do most of my reading. I still managed to read three books though, and I’m honestly pretty happy with that. I’m looking forward to reading a lot over Christmas.

Books Bought
I bought a few books since my last wrap-up and there are a couple of books I’ve been given too. I bought Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi and See What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt.
I also got some really beautiful proofs. I’ve never actually had proofs before, and I’m so curious about the subtle differences between them and the finished books that are released. I’m super excited to read them.
Other News
November, November, November. It was quick but it was brilliant. I got to pretend to be a Hogwarts student at my MA graduation. It was very fancy, thanks to the beautiful Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool. I got to catch up with my friends up North too which was great fun.
I’m really enjoying my internship – my only regret is that it’s flying by. But I’m super excited to go home for Christmas and open my Book Advent Calendar that’s waiting for me!
