THAT’S A WRAP: September 2017

EtheringtonHeaders-That's A Wrap

September has definitely turned out to be a very good month. The autumn whether is finally starting to kick in. It definitely seems to be an appropriate season for change, and I have a lot of changes coming my way. Some of those changes might mean less blogging, but I’m hoping if I keep organised then I can still keep on top of everything.

Reviews

Reading Summary

This month I’ve read six books. I probably wouldn’t have read as many if it hadn’t been for a few productive train journeys. I did think I would read a lot more this month, now that my MA has finished, but it turns out September has been a lot busier than I was anticipating!

  1. Bitter Eden by Totamkhulu Afrika
  2. Exquisite by Sarah Stovell
  3. Days Without End by Sebastian Barry
  4. Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
  5. The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry
  6. The Duff by Kody Keplinger

Books Bought

I bought five books this month, which is much more restrained than last month. Clearly turning 24 has given me a little more willpower (maybe). I have to say all the books I bought are beautiful though.

  • We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
  • Orlando by Virginia Woolf
  • Emma by Jane Austen
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen

And I was also given four more, which wasn’t my fault, but has something to do with my VERY EXCITING NEWS this month.

  • Exquisite by Sarah Stovell
  • Bitter Eden by Tatamkhulu Afrika
  • Fever by Deon Meyer
  • Recipes for Love and Murder by Sally Andrew

Other News

Last week I turned 24 years old. I know my About Page and side-bar still say 23, but let me cling to youth for a few more minutes please. I also got an internship at a literary agent’s (this is the Exciting News) and handed my resignation in at work- I have mixed feelings because I’m going to miss everyone but it’s honestly a dream job, and I’m so excited to spend 3 months learning as much as I can.

Also I reached 100 followers on the blog! Which means I’m organising my first ever giveaway to celebrate, so stay tuned for that!

How was your month?
