WWW is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Each Wednesday book enthusiasts share their reads by answering three questions:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’ve had a fairly slow reading week, but despite that it’s been a surprisingly good one.
What are you currently reading?
I’m a third of the way through Sebastian Barry’s Days Without End. Thomas McNulty has such a strong voice and he’s an interesting character. I didn’t think I would enjoy the book as much as I have but it’s compelling and I’m finding it easy to get through.
What did you recently finish reading?
I finished Rebel of the Sands and I was pleasantly surprised. It ticked all the boxes in terms of a fantasy read, and I liked that the romance didn’t take over the plot and the action. It felt original and although I did an unspeakable thing and took a peak ahead (I know, I know) it definitely had a few twists that surprised me!
What do you think you’ll read next?
There are so many books on my TBR list. I’m thinking about maybe another fantasy read like Red Queen or a murder mystery like The Magpie Murders.
I’m also hoping to read The Magpie Murders. I’ve heard good things about it.
