MISC: WWW Wednesdays- 23rd August 2017

WWW is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Each Wednesday book enthusiasts share their reads by answering three questions:

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m just started to make my way through The Power by Naomi Alderman. I may not be very far in but I already think it’s going to be a fantastic read. There are quite a few characters to keep track of, but then I’ve read the A Song of Ice and Fire series, so I’m a veteran of the multiple points of view novel. Everything’s startling to bubble to the surface and I’m curious to see what happens when things start to erupt.

I finished The Outsiders by S E Hinton. What a great cast of characters. It’s a short book, but within those pages Ponyboy grows up a lot and his gang of ‘greasers’ suffer painful blows. It’s a moving book, that deals with rivalry, privilege, poverty and identity.

I’m almost certain it will be The Duff by Kody Keflinger. I have high hopes it will be another book that I love!

What are you reading this week?

  1. The winner of my giveaway asked for The Power by Naomi Alderman and I’ve seen it pop up on a lot of places ever since. It’s not really something I’d read myself but seeing it everywhere sure makes me curious about it, haha.

Currently reading ARC’s, ARC’s and more ARC’s. Only three or four more to go and then I’ll be able to focus on my own TBR for a little while. Looking forward to that already.

    1. Same! It was pestering to be read! I’ve wanted to read it since it was longlisted for the Bailey’s Prize but I wasn’t sure if I’d like it. I’m actually enjoying it much more than I thought I would!

Good luck reading those ARCs! I bet it’ll be nice to have a bit more reading freedom once you’ve finished them!
