I managed to finally finish Fates & Furies a couple of days ago and I’m looking forward to another week of reading. I’ve read 6 books so far in 2017, so I’m well on my way to completing my goal of 50 books this year!
WWW is hosted by Taking on the World of Words. Each Wednesday book enthusiasts share their read by answering three questions:
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I just opened the first page of Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh this morning, so I haven’t had a chance to get to grips with it yet but I’m excited to read it. I’ve been meaning to for a while.
What did you recently finish reading?
Fates & Furies by Lauren Groff. I did have a hard time getting into this book, but I’m glad I did. It’s split into two sections, Fates told from Lancelot’s perspective and Furies told from his wife, Mathilde’s. Their marriage takes on an almost mythic form, but they both have entirely different interpretation of their relationship. It seems that through twenty years of marriage, they are still strangers. It was such a brilliant read.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m thinking of reading Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. I’ve read a couple of her
novels and they’ve all been really enjoyable so I’m expecting this to be another good read.
I really want to read Fates and Furies – it’s been on my TBR for ages but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet. It’s good to know you thought it was a brilliant read. I hope you enjoy the Rainbow Rowell novel this week – I’ve only read Landline by her but I really enjoyed it and want to read more of her books.

I had it on mine for a while too. Pushing through it did pay off in the end! Thank you! Her books haven’t disappointed me so far, so I’m hoping this is the same!

I have Eleanor and Park on Pippa, my Kindle…where it has been resting since 2014! I have read (and loved) other books by this author…I don’t know why I am hesitating. But I will read it this year some time!
Thanks for sharing…and here’s MY WWW POST

I’ve had it under a pile for some time too. Sometimes it takes longer to get around to some books! Attachments was my favourite, but I’ve never read one I didn’t like!
